How to use the weekly template
- Start from the Mon–Fri grid. It is already laid out — no download, no column formatting. Add the weekend only if you need it.
- Name the week. Title the schedule and set the week it covers.
- Fill it in. One row per person; tap a preset like 9–5 (1h lunch) or Part-time PM, or type custom times.
- Read the totals. Hours roll up per person, per day, and for the week as you fill.
- Export or share. Save a PDF, print it, or keep the share link as a reusable template for next week.
Weekly work schedule template — FAQ
Is this a download or a fillable template?
Fillable. Instead of downloading a blank Excel or Word file and formatting it yourself, you complete the weekly template right here and export the finished version. No file to set up.
What does the weekly template include?
A Monday-to-Friday grid (you can add the weekend), a row per person with an optional role, a start/end/break per shift, and automatic hour totals per person, per day, and for the week.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
It is free with no account, paywall, or trial. Fill, print, export, and share as many weekly schedules as you like.
Can I get it into Excel or Word?
Export the PDF or print the grid for posting. The shared link reopens the exact schedule, so a saved link works as your reusable weekly template.
Does my staffing data leave the page?
No. Every entry and total is computed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, and the share link encodes the schedule in the URL itself.

Posting this weekly rota for shift workers? Check your city's fair workweek law first — many require you to publish the schedule up to 14 days ahead and pay a premium for late changes. Compare the New York, Chicago and Seattle rules, or check whether one covers you.
